Privacy policy

This policy explains what Merchient collects, what we use it for, who processes it for us, how long we keep it, and how to get a copy or have it deleted.

Who we are

Merchient is a trade name of Orbline LLC, 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. In this policy, “we” means Orbline LLC, trading as Merchient. You can reach us at hello@merchient.com.

What we collect

From brands that use Merchient

• Contact details: the names and email addresses of the people we work with.
• Billing details, through Stripe. Stripe collects your card details; we do not store card numbers.
• The ad account data you share with us, view-only, through Meta: your ads, spend, review status and landing URLs.
• Your public pages and reviews.
• The emails you send us, including photos of your label and creators’ scripts and captions.
• A read-only Klaviyo API key, if you connect email and SMS, and the emails and texts it lets Vera read.
• Read-only access to your Shopify store, through an install you approve in Shopify: products, pages, inventory and discounts.
• A review-app key, if you give us one, and the reviews it lets Vera read.

From prospects

Prospects are brands we have not worked with yet. From them we collect:

• Public content from the Meta Ad Library and from the brand’s website.
• A business email address.
• The website and work email you type into our scan form, once our scan service is on. Until then, the form opens an email to us, and we receive only what you send in it.

For the competitor claims watch, we also read the public Meta Ad Library ads of a brand’s rivals.

When you book a call, we receive your name, your email address and the time you choose, through Google Calendar, part of Google Workspace.

What we use it for

We use this data only for these things:

• Reports, briefs and replies: checking claims, sending reports and morning briefs, and answering emails.
• Your scan: we use the website and work email from the scan form to run your scan and send it to you.
• Outreach to prospects: we use a prospect’s public pages and business email address to send one short outreach email and up to two follow-ups. They stop when you reply “no”.
• Billing: we use billing details only to bill you.

We never sell your data.

Who processes it for us

These providers process data for us. Each handles it under its own terms and privacy policy, linked below. We make no promise about whether they use data for training, or how long they keep it, beyond what their own terms say.

• Anthropic provides Claude, the AI model Vera runs on. The content Vera checks is sent to Claude so she can read it and draft reports. Anthropic privacy policy
• Google Cloud hosts the server Vera runs on, in the United States, where what you send us is kept encrypted. Google Cloud Privacy Notice

• Stripe takes payments and handles billing. Stripe privacy policy
• A sending service will deliver Vera’s emails once she sends them herself.

This website

This website sets no cookies and runs no tracking or third-party scripts. It is hosted on GitHub Pages. When a GitHub Pages site is visited, GitHub logs the visitor’s IP address for security purposes. GitHub privacy statement

How long we keep data

• Brands: while the subscription runs. We delete the data within 30 days after it ends.
• Prospects: up to 12 months after we collect it, unless the brand becomes a customer.
• Billing records: as long as US tax and accounting law requires.

You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

Getting a copy, or deletion

To ask for a copy of your data, or for its deletion, email hello@merchient.com with your brand name. We send the copy, or delete the data, within 30 days. Revoking a Klaviyo key, a review-app key or the Shopify install in that service stops us reading from it; it does not delete what we already hold. The data deletion page also explains how to remove Merchient’s access in Meta.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new date. On 16 October 2026 we added how we use prospects’ public pages and business email addresses for outreach, and what we receive on each Vera 360 surface, where it is kept and who processes it.
